MAIN TECHNOLOGIES OFFERED BY IPT:
EPR: a multipurpose, valuable, synthetic elastomer obtained by the copolymerization of ethylene and propylene.
ENB: also known as 5-Ethylidene-2-norbornene, is a cyclic compounds with a double unsaturation. It’s mainly used as third-monomer, along with ethylene and propylene, to obtain the synthetic elastomer EP(D)M.
ISOPRENE: Isoprene is a C5 di-olefin used in the preparation of other fundamental petrochemical products. From its polymerization Polyisoprene elastomer can be obtained.
POLYISOPRENE: the elastomer obtained from the polymerization of Isoprene, also known as Isoprene Rubber (IR), is the synthetic equivalent of natural rubber (NR).
POLYCHLOROPRENE: also known as Neoprene, is the synthetic elastomer obtained from the polymerization of the chlorinated di-olefin 2-Chlorobuta-1,3-diene.
POLYBUTADIENE: the elastomer, also known as butadiene rubber (BR), obtained from the polymerization of 1,3-Butadiene, mainly used in the production of Tyre. IPT has the know-how for the production of the top-grade Neodymium polybutadiene (Nd-BR).
E-SBR: a synthetic elastomer obtained by radical copolymerization of Styrene and 1,3 Butadiene in cold aqueous emulsion.
S-SBR: a multipurpose, synthetic elastomer obtained by anionic copolymerization of Styrene and 1,3-Butadiene dissolved in an organic solvent. This polymer is characterized by easily tuneable mechanical properties and is widely used in the manufacture of tyres with low-fuel consumption.
CYCLOHEXANONE: Raw material used for the preparation of a large amount of fundamental petrochemical products. The majority of cyclohexanone is consumed in the production of Caprolactam (CPL).
CPL: Caprolactam is the cyclic amide used for the production of Nylon 6.
